How To Use the App

After you install the app by following the instructions below, the first thing you need to do when you open the app is to set your location. This happens automatically to your current location, but during the beta test everyone needs to set their location to Goodyear, Arizona. That's because your view of the outstanding requests is limited to those within 25 miles of your location. By setting everyone to the same location, all of the requests and additional content will be viewable by all people.

To set the location, tap the location icon in the upper right corner of the app.

Move the map until you find Phoenix, then if you zoom in somewhat you will see Goodyear to the left, or west, of Phoenix. Just click on top the Goodyear name and click the Save button and then you are done.

IPHONE USERS

The first step for iPhone users is to install the TestFlight app from the Apple App Store. Apple requires this in order to participate as a tester for an application. The install for TestFlight looks like the following:

You will get an email invitation to test Ask To Receive. It includes a link you can use to install the beta version of the app, however you must have TestFlight installed in order for the link to work. Your invitation email will look similar to the following:

Note that TestFlight may tell you that you have an application to install, in addition to the invitation email you receive. However, the invitation email typically comes before TestFlight informs you about a new application. Clicking on the link in the email opens up TestFlight and you will see the option to install the app. The installation from this point should be self-explanatory.

ANDROID USERS

Android users will get an email with a link to set up the app. Click on the link in the email and you will go through the following process:

When you click the link in the email, it will open the Google Play store and you'll be invited to become a tester. Click the BECOME A TESTER button to begin.

In the next step you'll will be welcomed as a tester. Click on the link to download it on Google Play.

You're now taken to the page where you can install the Ask To Receive app. Click on the Install button, then you can run the app and get started testing.
